National Tree Planting Scheme And First World War Commemeration Event
During the end of November it was the National tree planting scheme. During the two weeks we are pleased to have donated over 100 trees to various societies and villages to commemorate the event. Next year signifies 100 years since the First World War, and as a commemoration we plan to fund and organise a village tree planting project. Local school children will plant 100 Silver birch tree whips around a local war memorial supervised by ourselves. We will maintain the coppice for 3 years and replace any whips that don’t establish. The children from the primary school will be undertaking a school project about the War and the event. As an established company, we feel that is very important to help our local community when we can. We hope the event will be a great success.
