City & Country King Edward VII Estate
Millstone Landscapes Ltd are delighted to have secured the contract to landscape Phase 1B & 1C at King Edward VII Estate in Midhurst for City and Country developers. King Edward VII Estate sits within the South Downs National Park (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) in West Sussex, between Haslemere and Midhurst. It comprises a unique mix of Grade II and II* Listed buildings which have been meticulously restored and converted into exceptional apartments, duplexes and houses combining all the original character features of the existing buildings with stylish modern specifications.
Opened by King Edward VII in 1906, the estate was once home to hundreds of tuberculosis patients, who were sent there to benefit from the fresh air and beautiful garden setting. We will be implementing a unique planting scheme based from the original Gertrude Jekyll, an influential British horticulturist, design. The gardens are an early 20th Century example of a therapeutic garden, recognised by their listing on the English Heritage Register.
Quote from Sales Director “We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to work alongside City & Country, on this highly prestigious development. Long may our working relationship flourish”
